Atlassian Consultant – Jira & Confluence Cloud Migration

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Atlassian Consultant to lead the migration of a banking client’s Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence from Data Center to Atlassian Cloud. The role combines deep administration expertise with hands‑on migration experience and will involve close collaboration with stakeholders and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute end‑to‑end migrations of Jira, JSM and Confluence, including discovery, assessment, test migrations, cut‑over and post‑migration support.
• Assess current implementations and design cloud‑ready solutions for workflows, schemes, custom fields, permissions, dashboards and reports.
• Re‑implement ScriptRunner/Groovy business logic using Atlassian Cloud‑native automation, workflow functions and Marketplace apps.
• Migrate key Marketplace apps (Assets & Inventory, EazyBI, ScriptRunner, Custom Charts, Projectrak, Structure, Tempo, Zephyr, Jira Plans) and coordinate with vendors.
• Configure and administer both Data Center and Cloud instances of Jira Software, JSM and Confluence.
• Design and maintain user management and SSO integrations (SAML/SCIM, Azure AD).
• Build integrations using REST APIs and webhooks for automation and data synchronization.
• Facilitate workshops, produce documentation, runbooks and provide training to internal teams.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on administration experience with Jira Software, Jira Service Management and Confluence on Data Center and Cloud.
• Proven track record delivering Data Center to Cloud migrations.
• Solid Groovy scripting experience with ScriptRunner.
• Experience with Atlassian Guard and key Marketplace apps.
• Good understanding of user management, SSO and Active Directory integration.
• Familiarity with Agile and ITSM/ITIL processes as implemented in Jira and JSM.
