Bakery Assistant – Full‑time Retail Bakery Role

About the role

Centra is looking for a motivated Bakery Assistant to join its Roscommon store. You will help keep the bakery department running smoothly, delivering high‑quality products and friendly service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and bake bakery items according to daily schedules.
• Display freshly baked products and maintain attractive counter presentations.
• Take and fulfill customer bakery orders.
• Ensure all fresh‑food counters meet cleanliness and quality standards throughout the day.
• Answer customer queries professionally and in line with store policy.
• Promote Centra’s brand values – Proud, Energetic, Imaginative, Community‑Based.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills.
• Previous customer‑service experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work as part of a fast‑paced team and multitask under pressure.
• A genuine passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers.
• HACCP training is desirable but not mandatory.
