About the role
As a Claims Handler at Sedgwick, you will deliver high‑quality service to customers of leading insurers, ensuring claims are processed efficiently from first notice of loss to payment. The role focuses on accuracy, meeting service level agreements, and continuous process improvement while supporting the team leader.
Key responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the claim process, from FNOL to claim payment.
- Manage assigned desktop claims and meet delivery targets.
- Provide accurate advice to claimants based on policy terms.
- Review cases, achieve settlements within personal authority limits, and follow established procedures.
- Interact courteously with customers and insurer representatives to maintain high satisfaction.
- Review loss adjuster reports, referrals, and correspondence on managed accounts.
- Authorize payments within granted authority levels.
- Assist in training new team members and maintain a personal development portfolio.
Required profile
- Previous experience in health insurance claims in Ireland (ideal).
- Minimum competency in APA PL or CIP qualification (desirable).
- Strong numeric ability and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and operate flexibly.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
