Deli Assistant

About the role

The Deli Assistant will work in the fresh‑food area of a Centra store, preparing high‑quality hot and cold deli products while putting customer satisfaction first. You will be part of a fast‑paced team that values energy, imagination and community.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders across all fresh‑food sections, including sandwiches, rolls, hot dishes and sliced meats.
• Cook, assemble and display deli items throughout the day, maintaining portion‑control standards.
• Keep all counter displays clean, well‑stocked and visually appealing at all times.
• Share product knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations to inspire shoppers.
• Handle customer queries professionally and in line with store policy.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills.
• Previous customer‑service experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment and multitask under pressure.
• A genuine passion for food and the ability to engage customers.

Required skills

• HACCP training (desirable but not mandatory).
