Duty Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Duty Manager to lead hotel operations, ensuring high service standards and smooth guest experiences across all departments.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day hotel operations, making sure all areas are guest‑ready and meet quality standards.
• Lead and assist teams during peak periods, fostering a positive and professional environment.
• Welcome guests, address their needs, and handle feedback to maintain satisfaction.
• Prepare Duty Manager reports, shift handovers and complete operational checklists.
• Monitor hotel presentation, security, maintenance and compliance with health, safety and fire regulations.
• Support staff training, performance development and uphold operational standards.
• Promote sustainability initiatives, reducing energy, water use and waste.

Required profile

• Previous supervisory or Duty Manager experience in a busy hotel.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Guest‑focused, problem‑solving mindset and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends on a 5‑over‑7 rota.
• Positive, motivated and passionate about hospitality teamwork.
