Fleet Coordinator

About the role

The Campus Fleet Coordinator will manage the Moorepark transport fleet of approximately 50 vehicles and machines, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable transport services for the research campus community.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of the fleet and allocate vehicles as needed.
• Perform mechanical maintenance and oversee preventative maintenance schedules.
• Maintain compliance with Irish transport legislation and road‑safety standards.
• Manage fleet records, inspections and documentation.
• Ensure vehicles are safe, serviced and available for research and operational activities.

Required profile

• Level 6 qualification in Motor Mechanics or a related discipline.
• Valid, full, clean Irish, EU/EEA or International driving licence.
• Proven practical mechanical skills and experience.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Knowledge of Irish transport legislation and road‑safety compliance.
• Understanding of preventative maintenance schedules and safety requirements for fleet vehicles.
