Hedge Fund Accounting Manager - Remote

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Hedge Fund Accounting Manager to lead a small team of fund accountants. The role combines technical oversight of fund accounting processes with direct client relationship management, and can be performed remotely from anywhere in Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of three to four fund accountants, providing hands‑on guidance and support.
• Act as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of hedge‑fund clients.
• Oversee NAV production, including performance fee calculations, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate fund valuations and proactively escalate any issues.
• Review and sign off on capital activity, pricing, journal entries and investor allocations.
• Mentor, train and develop junior team members, conduct performance reviews and set objectives.
• Collaborate with audit teams, assist with fund launches and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hedge‑fund accounting experience.
• Previous experience managing or leading a team.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Proactive, solutions‑oriented approach to problem solving.

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of NAV calculations.
• Expertise in performance fee calculations.
• Understanding of various hedge‑fund structures.
