Hotel Reservations Agent

About the role

The Grand Hotel, a four‑star property within the FBD Hotels & Resorts group, is seeking a Reservations Agent to join its Sales & Reservations team in Malahide. You will be responsible for managing guest bookings, supporting fellow agents, and ensuring a high level of customer service throughout the reservation process.

Key responsibilities

• Manage individual reservations and respond to guest enquiries.
• Support reservation agents across both hotel properties.
• Adhere to hotel SOPs and company policies.
• Contribute to yield management to achieve occupancy targets.
• Maintain accurate room inventory control.
• Utilise the hotel’s direct CMS, OTA extranets and channel manager for rate loading, guest communications and post‑stay feedback.
• Assist the manager with departmental reporting and day‑to‑day operations.
• Manage rate codes, group booking platform and system utilisation.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar hotel reservations role.
• Ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Flexibility to meet day‑to‑day job demands.
• Customer‑focused and standards‑driven.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Team player who can also work independently.

Required skills

• Experience with a hotel CMS.
• Familiarity with OTA extranets.
• Use of a channel manager for rate loading and distribution.
• Knowledge of yield management principles.
• Ability to manage rate codes and group booking platforms.
