Housekeeping Porter

About the role

The Merrion, a luxury hotel in the heart of Dublin, is seeking a Housekeeping Porter to join its dedicated team. You will work in a high‑standard environment, receiving full training and support to deliver exceptional guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and transport linen from corridors at scheduled intervals.
• Deliver requested items to guest rooms promptly.
• Move furniture and assist with room set‑up as needed.
• Shampoo bedrooms, public corridors, chairs, and sofas.
• Support the Public Area Team with deep‑cleaning tasks.
• Maintain employee changing rooms according to SOPs.
• Stock storerooms throughout the day, monitor stock levels and liaise with Stores for replenishment.

Required profile

• Strong guest focus with excellent communication skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing guest and business needs.
• Team‑oriented mindset, comfortable working with 3‑4 other porters.
