HR Generalist – 12‑month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

Join HSBC Ireland as an HR Generalist on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will support the HR team across multiple areas, including recruitment, compensation, learning, and time‑off administration, while helping the business comply with the EU Pay Transparency Directive.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the rollout of the EU Pay Transparency Directive, including data analysis, outlier monitoring and employee works council consultation.
• Maintain and update HR databases and systems.
• Support onboarding of new hires and facilitate various HR operations.
• Produce timely HR metrics reports and statistics.
• Administer time‑off and timesheet systems, responding to employee queries.
• Monitor HR cases in the case‑management system and ensure timely resolution.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of Irish employment law (desirable).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to interact with all levels up to senior management.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective planning, organization and ability to meet deadlines.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the capacity to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
