IT Systems Administrator (Azure) – Dublin

About the role

The role is a hands‑on position within the Enterprise Services team of a semi‑state transport infrastructure organisation. You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining a hybrid IT environment that spans on‑premise Windows Server infrastructure and Microsoft Azure cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server (2019+) environments, virtual platforms and Azure cloud resources.
• Monitor performance, availability and health of hybrid infrastructure and resolve incidents.
• Manage system upgrades, patching, lifecycle and configuration of Windows devices using Intune and Autopilot.
• Maintain Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, handling user provisioning, permissions and Group Policy.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services – Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Intune.
• Act as escalation point for Level 1 support, coordinate with managed service providers and lead incident resolution.
• Document technical procedures, produce operational records and contribute to automation and standardisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer.
• Strong background supporting Windows Server (2019+) and Microsoft Azure.
• Hands‑on experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and identity management.
• Experience managing Microsoft 365 environments and related services.
• Familiarity with Intune, Autopilot, Group Policy and RBAC concepts.
