Junior Lighting Design Engineer

About the role

LED Group is seeking a Junior Lighting Design Engineer to join its Dublin office. You will support the sales team by creating high‑quality lighting designs, delivering fast turn‑arounds and helping win new projects. Full training and mentorship will be provided.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Sales Team and other stakeholders to deliver lighting design projects.
• Interpret CAD files and produce lighting designs that meet specifications using Relux or Dialux.
• Manage multiple design projects, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines.
• Support the tendering process with technical input and comparative analysis of ROBUS versus competitor products.
• Provide technical assistance and reporting as required by the business.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Results‑focused, detail‑oriented and able to handle large volumes of data.
• Assertive, dynamic and eager to learn and take on responsibility.

Required skills

• Basic experience with lighting design software such as Relux or Dialux.
• Proficiency in CAD tools.
• Knowledge of BIM (preferred).
• Level 8 Technical Graduate in Engineering or Design.
