Learning and Development Specialist

About the role

The Learning and Development Specialist will design, coordinate and deliver L&D programmes that support the organisation’s People and Culture strategy. This role drives a culture of continuous learning, talent development and retention across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Group Learning and Development strategy, aligning training processes with annual budget and organisational objectives.
• Update the Learning Needs Analysis and launch training initiatives that promote continuous learning.
• Manage the company’s Learning Management System (LMS) and deliver online learning solutions, including LinkedIn Learning.
• Support mentoring, coaching and change‑management training programmes.
• Champion Diversity, Equity and Inclusion across HR processes.
• Report on training metrics, evaluate ROI and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with IT, Data Analytics and Business Analyst teams for LMS maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Source third‑party funding and coordinate activities with ETBs, Skillnets and Enterprise Ireland.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of contemporary Human Resource Development practices.
• Proven experience managing talent development strategies.
• Commercial awareness and ability to align learning initiatives with business goals.
• Excellent organisational, planning and relationship‑building skills.
• Professional, confidential approach with a flexible, can‑do attitude.
