About the role

Bruce College Cork is seeking a full‑time Leaving Certificate Business Teacher to join its dedicated faculty in the Cork Metropolitan Area. The role involves delivering engaging Business Studies lessons that prepare students for the national Leaving Certificate examinations while supporting their overall personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Business Studies lessons aligned with the Leaving Certificate curriculum.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports both academic and personal development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum content and participate in staff meetings.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events as needed.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Business Studies and familiarity with the Irish Leaving Certificate curriculum.
• Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., degree in Education with a Business Studies specialization).
• Effective classroom management and lesson‑planning skills tailored to diverse learning needs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for engaging with students, parents and staff.
• Organisational and time‑management skills for grading, resource preparation and scheduling.
