Maintenance Technician – Moulding & Assembly

About the role

This position is for an Engineering/Maintenance Technician who will ensure the reliability of moulding and assembly equipment, support daily production targets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The role starts as a Monday‑to‑Friday contract with the possibility of shift work later, depending on operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on injection moulding machines, tooling, and automated/semi‑automated assembly equipment.
• Maintain and calibrate electrical, mechanical, and control systems, documenting activities in the Maximo management system.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for assigned equipment, interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings to resolve faults.
• Fabricate ad‑hoc mechanical/electrical components for repairs and upgrades.
• Support operational and strategic technical projects, and contribute to site maintenance‑excellence and continuous‑improvement programmes.
• Ensure all work complies with cGMP, safety, and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Leaving Certificate, Senior Trade Certificate, or FETAC Level 6 (or working toward it).
• Minimum 3 years experience in high‑precision manufacturing.
• At least 2 years experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem‑solving ability with complex equipment.
