National Account Manager

About the role

A leading FMCG business is looking for an experienced National Account Manager to join its Category Business team. Reporting to the Category Director, you will shape and execute data‑driven commercial strategies that drive sustainable revenue and margin growth across brands, customers and channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial revenue growth plans aligned with short‑ and long‑term objectives.
• Own the P&L for the assigned portfolio, handling forecasting, budgeting and profitability optimisation.
• Identify and act on opportunities to improve revenue and margin through pricing, pack architecture, promotions and channel strategy.
• Analyse customer investment ROI and pinpoint key performance drivers.
• Lead pack‑price architecture to optimise pricing ladders and consumer value perception.
• Evaluate promotional effectiveness using post‑event analysis and shopper insights.
• Partner with Marketing on pricing strategy for new product launches.
• Conduct commercial performance reviews and recommend actions to meet targets.
• Collaborate with Sales on Joint Business Planning, pricing, promotions and investment priorities.
• Work cross‑functionally with Finance, Insights, Supply Chain, Procurement and Demand Planning.
• Support product launches, range optimisation and forecast management.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified with at least 4 years of experience in Revenue Growth Management or Net Revenue Management within FMCG.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with a proven track record of driving profitable growth.
• Highly analytical, able to turn data into actionable commercial insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across sales, marketing, finance and supply‑chain functions.
• Strategic thinker with solid planning, organisation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
