About the role

The University of Galway invites applications for a part‑time Lecturer in Accounting (0.4 FTE) on a specific‑purpose contract. This role is designed for a job‑sharing arrangement, working two days per week for approximately one year.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and examine undergraduate and postgraduate accounting courses.
• Conduct research and publish in the field of accounting.
• Participate in administrative duties and curriculum development for the Accountancy and Finance Discipline.

Required profile

• PhD in Accounting or a recognised professional accounting qualification.
• Relevant teaching experience at university level.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to take initiative and work collaboratively in a job‑sharing arrangement.
