About the role
The Maples Group is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join its HR team in Dublin. This hybrid position involves managing payroll for the firm’s financial services business, ensuring accurate and timely processing while supporting compliance and reporting needs.
Key responsibilities
- Process end‑to‑end payroll (semi‑monthly/monthly), guaranteeing accuracy of earnings, deductions and adjustments.
- Handle off‑cycle payments, terminations and payroll corrections.
- Maintain compliance with Irish payroll regulations and statutory requirements.
- Review and reconcile payroll reports (gross‑to‑net) and meet all payroll deadlines.
- Analyse payroll data to identify discrepancies and trends; prepare reports for Finance, HR and Management.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain payroll data in the HRIS; assist with system updates, testing and issue resolution.
- Provide timely, professional responses to payroll queries and advise managers on policies.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, HR or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of payroll processing experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and tax requirements in Ireland.
- High ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with payroll/HRIS systems such as Workday, ADP, SAP, Dayforce.
