Product Designer, Risk

About the role

Stripe is looking for a Product Designer to join its Risk team. You will shape user‑facing experiences that help businesses start, grow, and stay compliant on Stripe’s platform. The role blends strategic thinking with hands‑on design to turn complex risk‑related systems into clear, intuitive workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Translate complex policies, operational constraints, and risk models into simple, thoughtful product experiences.
• Identify high‑leverage opportunities across user journeys, touchpoints, and surfaces to improve coherence.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, operations, and strategists to define direction and drive outcomes.
• Develop both long‑term design strategy and pragmatic short‑term solutions.
• Design, prototype, and communicate ideas through storytelling and demos.
• Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions and measure impact.
• Collaborate with engineering to maintain a high bar for craft and implementation quality.
• Contribute to shared patterns and systems that support the broader Risk organization.

Required profile

• 8+ years of product design experience at a product‑driven technology company.
• Strong visual craft, interaction design, and systems‑thinking demonstrated in a portfolio.
• Experience designing complex product areas with multiple stakeholders.
