Project Manager – Construction & Engineering (Cork)

About the role

IPS is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its Cork office. You will lead the delivery of technically complex life‑science facilities, ranging from small retrofits to large greenfield builds, ensuring projects meet scope, cost, schedule and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver projects successfully, achieving agreed scope, cost, schedule and quality objectives.
• Support business development by attending pre‑bid meetings and preparing proposals with senior staff.
• Identify and mitigate project risks in partnership with senior leadership.
• Control project scope and communicate any adjustments to the client.
• Prepare and maintain meeting minutes, action items, execution plans, monthly financial and schedule reports, and other client‑requested documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of project delivery experience, including at least 5 years in a Project Management role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent qualification.
• Industry experience in manufacturing facility design for the life‑science sector.
• Hands‑on construction experience and familiarity with Earned Value Management and other project‑control methods.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to IPS and client safety policies.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
