Public Sector Procurement Business Partner

About the role

This position is a key hire within a growing procurement function, supporting the delivery of compliant, high‑quality sourcing and contract management for goods, services and works in the public sector. Working closely with the Procurement Manager and senior stakeholders, you will help build capability and ensure best‑practice procurement across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and drive sourcing in line with public procurement regulations.
• Prepare and issue tender documentation, assist with evaluation, and manage contract award processes.
• Maintain a central contract register and support contract lifecycle management.
• Build and monitor supplier relationships, address issues and ensure compliance.
• Deliver process‑improvement initiatives and support procurement training rollout.
• Partner with Finance and Operations to enhance tools, reporting and spend analysis.
• Produce regular reports on procurement activity, savings and risk management.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing contracts for goods, services and works.
• Strong supplier management and negotiation abilities.
• Hands‑on experience with public procurement, eTenders and OGP frameworks.
• Advanced analytical capability, including spend analysis and reporting.
• Degree level 8 or equivalent; procurement qualification is a plus.
