Remote PHP Developer (Laravel) Contractor

About the role

We are looking for a skilled PHP Developer to join our customer’s AI agent project on a contract basis. You will work remotely from the US or Canada, applying your expertise in PHP and Laravel to build and maintain back‑end systems that support AI model training.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust PHP applications using the Laravel framework.
• Collaborate with AI model trainers to structure data and workflows for training cycles.
• Contribute to scalable, high‑performance back‑end architecture.
• Translate functional requirements into clean, reliable code.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce best‑practice standards.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex back‑end issues during AI training.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience with PHP and Laravel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in a remote environment.
• Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously while aligning with team goals.
• Experience with data‑driven or AI‑related projects is a plus.
