Security Analyst

About the role

You will help design, implement and operate Unum's information security depth‑in‑defense framework. The role focuses on protecting applications, platforms, operating systems and networks while integrating security services with business and IT architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating and maintaining a comprehensive security framework covering technology, policies, procedures and processes.
• Engineer security solutions to safeguard Unum’s information assets and systems.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents and alerts.
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure secure operation of voice and data networks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of IT engineering, security or consulting experience, with at least 2 years in cybersecurity roles.
• Ability to work independently in fast‑paced, ambiguous, global environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Operating system security: Windows, Linux, UNIX, macOS (mainframe a plus).
• Security technologies: firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanners (e.g., Qualys).
• Network fundamentals: TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, wireless networking.
• Encryption, PKI and identity/access management concepts.
