Senior Accountant – Accounting Practice

About the role

Join a mid‑tier accounting practice in Trim, delivering audit, advisory and accounting services to a diverse client base. As a Senior Accountant you will manage a portfolio of clients, ensure accurate financial reporting and tax compliance, and support junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied client portfolio, preparing management accounts, financial statements and tax filings in line with statutory and firm standards.
• Provide high‑quality accounting, compliance and advisory support, delivering clear, commercially focused financial insights.
• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and companies, ensuring full compliance and offering practical advice.
• Mentor and support junior colleagues through coaching, feedback and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 1 year post‑qualification experience in a professional practice.
• Strong technical grounding in Irish GAAP and familiarity with FRS 102.
• Solid understanding of Irish tax compliance for individuals and companies.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.
• Highly organised, detail‑focused and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
