Senior Back End Developer – Java & Spring Boot

About the role

We are partnering with a leading global financial services organisation to expand its Dublin engineering team. The role focuses on building and enhancing core backend services for large‑scale, business‑critical platforms that process complex financial transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Operate within a microservices architecture and distributed systems environment.
• Improve system performance and contribute to platform enhancements.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams across multiple regions.
• Maintain and evolve an established, production‑scale platform.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Core Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven background in microservices‑based systems.
• Solid backend engineering expertise.
• Experience in financial services or data‑intensive platforms is a plus.
• Familiarity with event‑driven architectures (e.g., Kafka) and relational databases such as Oracle is advantageous.
