Senior EHS Advisor

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Advisor to support the delivery of multiple construction projects across Leinster. Reporting to the EHS Manager, you will champion safety, sustainability and regulatory compliance on site and with subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS legislation and company management systems.
• Support ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certification and ongoing compliance.
• Prepare project‑specific safety plans, RAMS, work permits and statutory notifications (AF2) to the HSA.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety inductions, and deliver toolbox talks.
• Review and approve subcontractor RAMS, perform safety reviews and monitor competency records.
• Compile documentation for pre‑qualification submissions and provide EHS reports at site meetings.
• Assist the EHS Manager with additional initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Third‑level qualification in Environmental, Health or Safety.
• Minimum 4 years of H&S experience in construction, preferably with a main contractor.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proven ability to produce clear, accurate documentation.
• Experience working in live environments such as educational facilities is advantageous.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards.
• Familiarity with Procore and iAuditor platforms.
