Senior Financial Controller – Europe

About the role

Jones Engineering is seeking a Senior Financial Controller for Europe to lead the financial operations of nine European subsidiaries. Based at the Dublin headquarters, you will report directly to the CFO and work closely with the Irish finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead period‑end close, monthly reporting and cash‑flow management across multiple European entities.
• Ensure compliance with local GAAPs, statutory accounts, tax filings (CIT, VAT, WHT, payroll) and coordinate external audits.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general accounting functions.
• Maintain internal controls, risk management processes and audit readiness.
• Manage Transfer Pricing documentation and review annual master and local files.
• Set up new legal entities and drive finance process improvements.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, HR and operational teams on project performance, cash‑flow and global mobility.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of Irish‑based accountants and service providers.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 10 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Experience in the construction or engineering sector is an advantage.
