About the role

The Shop Floor Assistant ensures that all stock in the assigned department is merchandised, rotated and faced to the highest standards while maintaining hygiene and food safety. This role supports the store’s overall presentation and contributes to a positive shopping experience for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Merchandise, rotate and face all stock in the assigned department.
• Maintain hygiene and food standards throughout the store.
• Process orders for various departments.
• Present the entire store to the highest visual standards at all times.
• Liaise with the Store Manager on layout changes and ensure correct implementation.
• Implement proper labelling and stock rotation procedures.
• Check deliveries against goods‑inward procedures.
• Keep the back‑store tidy and organized.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organised and flexible.
• Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team.
