Site Manager – Roofing & Façade Projects (Ireland, Finland, Germany)

About the role

Crown, Ireland’s leading specialist roofing, cladding and façade contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee multiple projects across Ireland, Finland and Germany. The role involves delivering projects safely, on schedule and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations across projects in Ireland, Finland and Germany.
• Ensure sufficient labour resources are on site and fully compliant with Health & Safety requirements.
• Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials in line with programme and budget.
• Maintain plant and equipment availability, suitability and compliance.
• Deliver works according to approved drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
• Implement and maintain site quality assurance procedures, including Inspection and Test Plans.
• Prepare, review and update risk assessments and method statements.
• Monitor site progress and produce weekly reports with updates, photographs and variance analysis.
• Chair internal site meetings and attend coordination meetings with main contractors, clients and design teams.
• Maintain accurate project records, site diaries, meeting minutes and photographic evidence.
• Work closely with Project Manager, QS team and Project Director to achieve commercial objectives.
• Monitor labour, plant and material costs against approved budgets and report variations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and lead by example.
• Travel on a rotational basis and work occasional unsocial hours as required.

Required profile

• Construction‑related qualification (Construction Science or Engineering preferred).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in site management on roofing, cladding or façade projects.
• Strong understanding of roofing and cladding construction methods and best practice.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness with experience monitoring project costs and progress.
• High level of IT proficiency.
