Staff Nurse – Flexible Shifts in Cork

About the role

Emerald Nursing is seeking experienced Registered General Nurses to work across a variety of respected private hospitals, HSE teaching hospitals, specialist centres and care groups in Cork. The role offers premium hourly rates and full control over your diary, allowing you to choose the shifts and locations that best fit your lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in private hospitals, HSE teaching hospitals, specialist centres and care groups across Cork.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs and support clinical teams during day, night and weekend shifts.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with mandatory training and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland as a Registered General Nurse.
• At least 6 months of recent clinical experience within the Irish healthcare system.
• Strong clinical references and eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Up‑to‑date mandatory training and clearance for Garda vetting and occupational health (arranged by employer).
