Staff Nurse – Medicine for the Elderly

About the role

Join the Medicine for the Elderly team at Raigmore Hospital as a Staff Nurse on Ward 2C. You will care for up to 30 patients with complex medical needs, including delirium, dementia, Parkinson’s disease and palliative care requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Support patients with frailty, cognitive impairment and multiple long‑term conditions.
• Deliver evidence‑based practice for dementia, Parkinson’s and end‑of‑life care.
• Participate in a 12‑hour rotational shift pattern and contribute to ward safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Strong interest in caring for elderly patients with complex needs.
• Enthusiastic, proactive and team‑focused attitude.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Passion for continuous learning and professional development.
