Staff Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join a highly collaborative engineering environment in Ireland. You will design, build, and maintain resilient infrastructure that supports millions of users worldwide, while driving automation and operational excellence across distributed cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement observability solutions, including monitoring, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerting.
• Define, track, and improve Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) with product and engineering teams.
• Lead high‑severity incident response, conduct blameless post‑mortems, and implement preventive measures.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Pulumi.
• Create self‑healing systems and automation to reduce operational overhead.
• Optimize large‑scale Kubernetes and cloud‑native deployments for scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Investigate and resolve complex distributed‑system issues across the stack.
• Review architectural designs for reliability, security, and efficiency.
• Mentor engineers and promote a reliability‑focused culture.
• Build internal tools and automation workflows using Python or Go.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong software engineering background with production‑grade development experience.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud‑native environments, and service‑oriented architecture.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and modern cloud infrastructure technologies.
