Strategic Sourcing Manager – Food Categories

About the role

This position is a key hire for a well‑established international business that is strengthening its procurement capability. Based in Dublin with a hybrid work model, you will lead sourcing for fresh and short‑shelf‑life food categories, influencing supply‑chain performance and supplier strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activity across defined food categories.
• Develop and implement category and supplier strategies.
• Run end‑to‑end procurement processes, including tendering and negotiation.
• Build long‑term supplier relationships and performance‑management frameworks.
• Collaborate with operational teams to ensure supply continuity and efficiency.
• Use market insight to identify commercial and value‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management roles.
• Background in food, FMCG, wholesale, contract catering, or retail environments.
• Exposure to fresh or perishable categories is advantageous.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Commercially minded and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• CIPS qualification beneficial but not essential.
