Climate Scientist - AI Trainer

About the role

DataAnnotation is seeking a Climate Scientist to join its AI Trainer team. You will work remotely with a flexible schedule, evaluating and improving AI models that perform quantitative scientific reasoning. Your expertise will help ensure AI‑generated analyses are accurate and applicable to real‑world problems.

Key responsibilities

• Assess AI‑generated quantitative work, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and scientific reasoning, for technical accuracy.
• Design and solve quantitative problems used to train and benchmark AI systems across forecasting, experimental analysis, optimization, and statistical inference.
• Write clear technical explanations and well‑documented analytical code.
• Provide feedback that directly influences the next generation of AI models for quantitative reasoning.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in a quantitative role or research environment (e.g., data science, statistics, economics, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research).
• Fluency in English with strong written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field is preferred.

Required skills

• Coding experience with end‑to‑end analytical code.
• Statistical methods and predictive modeling.
• Experiment design (A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, time‑series forecasting).
