Data Privacy & AI Governance Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data Privacy & AI Governance Specialist to join a leading financial services organisation. The role will support data protection, governance and responsible AI initiatives in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments and AI Governance Assessments for new and existing initiatives.
• Support the development and enhancement of data privacy and AI governance frameworks.
• Monitor regulatory developments, including GDPR and the EU AI Act.
• Identify and mitigate data privacy and AI‑related risks.
• Assist with data breach management and governance reporting.
• Promote Privacy and Responsible AI by Design principles.
• Review third‑party relationships to ensure compliance with data protection requirements.
• Partner with business teams to embed strong governance practices.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in data privacy, data governance, compliance or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, data governance principles and emerging AI regulations.
• Experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments or risk assessments.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Degree in IT, Law, Business or a related discipline.
• Relevant certifications such as CIPP, CIPM or CDPSE are advantageous.
