Engineering Intern – Maintenance & Reliability (Ballydine)

Key responsibilities

• Support the Maintenance Engineering team in day‑to‑day plant operation and maintenance.
• Assist the Reliability Engineer with Risk Based Asset Management events and reliability projects to boost plant uptime.
• Help develop and execute the Mechanical Integrity Programme and analyse related data.
• Collaborate with the Site Electrical Engineer on capital projects, ATEX inspections and ARC Flash mitigation.
• Support predictive maintenance systems (vibration, thermal, oil analysis) and test emerging digital reliability technologies.
• Update the CMMS through change control processes under guidance.
• Build Bill of Materials for critical API production equipment and support MRO spend management.
• Perform data mining and analysis using Microsoft Power Apps and Power BI.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification or a related discipline.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Self‑starter attitude with project‑management capability considered an advantage.
