Environmental Health & Safety Manager – Wexford

About the role

The Environmental Health & Safety Manager will report directly to the Site Manager and lead all EHS activities at a flagship food production facility in Wexford. You will shape the site’s EHS strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and embed a safety‑first culture across operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement site‑wide EHS strategy and programmes.
• Drive behavioural safety and ensure compliance with EPA, HSA and other regulations.
• Manage emissions, effluent, waste, recycling and environmental reporting.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support production and maintenance teams in applying EHS best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments, business continuity planning and fire safety initiatives.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects focused on sustainability and energy reduction.
• Maintain ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and related accreditation standards.
• Liaise with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor EHS KPIs and drive performance improvements.

Required profile

• Degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an EHS leadership role within manufacturing, food, dairy, pharma or other regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of EHS management systems and regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience managing audits, investigations and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent qualifications are advantageous.
