Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

About the role

MongoDB is looking for a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to serve as the finance business partner for the International Product & Technology leadership team. You will own financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis, supporting strategic initiatives such as software capitalization and the company’s expansion into Ireland and India.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with product and engineering leaders and act as a trusted advisor.
• Prepare and present a monthly Business Value Analysis for the CTO and executive team.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial and operating models, with a focus on headcount planning and optimization.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analyses to guide resource allocation and investment decisions.
• Execute month‑end close activities, including headcount reconciliations, accrual reviews and budget‑vs‑actual reporting.
• Lead the Ireland Grant and Credit monthly close processes.
• Standardize and automate reporting, improving the use of internal systems.
• Partner with recruiting and HR to enhance workforce planning and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or economics (MBA a plus).
• 5+ years of FP&A experience with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Experience supporting product or engineering organizations is advantageous.
• Self‑starter who can work independently and communicate clearly across the organization.
