Instructional Technologist – Training Development for Energy Project

About the role

The Instructional Technologist will design, implement and continuously improve training programs for a next‑generation energy project in Ireland. You will work closely with engineering teams, project partners and regulators to ensure the workforce is prepared for safe and efficient plant operation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop training programs, processes and procedures that meet company standards, regulatory requirements and accreditation criteria.
• Apply the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) methodology to create and maintain high‑quality curricula.
• Update training materials to reflect plant design changes, procedural updates and operational improvements.
• Design assessment methods, including examinations, laboratory exercises, on‑the‑job resources and simulator‑based evaluations.
• Support accreditation, regulatory inspections, management audits and compliance assessments.
• Maintain accurate training records, reports and audit‑ready documentation.
• Assist leadership with planning, resource estimation and budgeting for the training department.

Required profile

• Strong instructional design expertise.
• Experience developing regulated training programs.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Attention to regulatory compliance and industry standards.
