Senior Frontend Engineer (ReactJS)

About the role

Buymie is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer with deep expertise in ReactJS to build and maintain high‑performance web applications for its grocery delivery platform. You will work closely with product, design, backend and QA teams to deliver user‑centric features that scale across Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable frontend applications using React.js, JavaScript/ES6+ and TypeScript.
• Build reusable UI components and architecture following modern React best practices.
• Manage complex state with Redux, Context API and other state‑management solutions.
• Implement advanced React patterns such as Hooks, functional components, code‑splitting and lazy loading.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL and WebSocket services.
• Optimize performance, responsiveness and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Ensure security, accessibility (a11y) and responsive design standards.
• Participate in technical planning, code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Mentor junior developers and lead complex technical initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience building React applications in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to design scalable solutions and guide technical decisions.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with Git version control.
• Familiarity with VTEX / VTEX IO development is a strong plus.
