About the role

We are seeking experienced Software Engineers to join our dynamic team at Zinkworks, working with a leading financial services client to deliver scalable, high‑performance Java solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust Java‑based applications.
• Utilise Spring, Spring Batch and Spring Kafka to build high‑performance services.
• Ensure scalability, performance and reliability across distributed systems.
• Participate in code reviews, provide technical guidance and mentor junior developers.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for efficient delivery.
• Transform legacy functionality into modern microservices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to all sprint events.
• Collaborate with architects, testers, DevOps engineers and product teams.
