Detection Engineer - AI Trainer

About the role

Join DataAnnotation’s remote team as a Detection Engineer – AI Trainer, where you will work with cutting‑edge AI models to evaluate and improve cybersecurity content. This flexible, fully remote position lets you set your own schedule while contributing to the development of AI systems that protect against real‑world threats.

Key responsibilities

• Assess AI‑generated security outputs such as threat analyses, vulnerability assessments, and offensive techniques for accuracy.
• Design and solve security‑focused technical problems used to train AI models.
• Write clear technical explanations and security‑relevant code.
• Provide feedback that directly influences the next generation of AI security models.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in a cybersecurity role (e.g., penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence).
• Strong written English communication skills (native or bilingual level).
• Preferred bachelor’s degree and relevant certifications (OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, etc.).
