About the role
PFH Technology is seeking an experienced Level 2 IT Support Engineer to provide hands‑on end‑user support, system administration and issue resolution for a client in Dublin. The role is fully onsite and runs on a 12‑month contract with the possibility of extension.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver on‑site technical support for Windows, macOS and Linux workstations.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policies and domain‑related troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and resolve networking issues, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls and VPNs.
- Identify hardware failures, perform repairs and oversee software deployment, updates and patch management.
- Support virtualisation platforms such as VMware, Hyper‑V or VirtualBox.
- Assist with cloud services on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, including VM and storage management.
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Bash or Python scripts.
- Handle incidents following ITIL processes, document resolutions and maintain knowledge‑base articles.
Required profile
- ITIL V4 certification.
- Microsoft certification(s) including MD‑102.
- Proven experience in Level 2 technical support within a corporate environment.
Required skills
- Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.
- Active Directory and Group Policy.
- DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls and VPN technologies.
- VMware, Hyper‑V, VirtualBox.
- AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.

- Ticketing tools such as Jira, ServiceNow or Zendesk.
- ITIL incident management practices.
