Assistant Vice President, Reinsurance Actuary

About the role

We’re looking for an Assistant Vice President, Reinsurance Actuary based in Bermuda, reporting to the Head of Pricing. You will work with risk analysts to develop data‑driven underwriting strategies across property, casualty and specialty reinsurance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve reinsurance pricing models, ensuring consistency, parameter benchmarking, rate‑adequacy monitoring and automation of data capture.
• Assist with pricing reinsurance contracts across Casualty, Specialty and Property classes.
• Collaborate closely with underwriting teams throughout the company.
• Conduct profitability studies and reporting on various portfolio segments.
• Support other pricing and reserving projects across the organization.

Required profile

• Professional actuarial designation (FCAS or equivalent).
• At least 5 years of experience in a pricing role within the reinsurance or insurance industry.
• Experience with reinsurance contract pricing, including excess‑of‑loss and proportional contracts.
• Ability to effectively communicate analytical findings.
• Open, innovative and inclusive mindset with a collaborative spirit.
