Control Consultant

About the role

As a member of the First Line of Defense within the COO Business Unit Control team, you will help ensure the resilience of operational processes by overseeing control frameworks, governance, and risk mitigation across global corporate functions. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, support strategic change initiatives, and develop expertise in risk and control practices.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to periodic risk reviews of operational processes, procedures, and client‑specific service deliverables.
• Review and test practice‑area processes, controls, and operating practices through ad‑hoc assessments and remediation efforts, and prepare recommendations to strengthen weaknesses.
• Participate in control‑related project deliverables to implement enhanced controls and efficiency improvements.
• Facilitate control program governance, metrics, and reporting requirements for COO and Corporate Functions.
• Conduct periodic reviews of practice‑specific policies and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
• Escalate risk and control matters to the practice control manager and relevant stakeholders.
• Evaluate incidents and operational losses, perform root‑cause analysis, and identify trends and corrective actions.
• Participate in the Risk & Control Self‑Assessment (RCSA) program for designated business units, ensuring proper identification and assessment of risks and controls.

Required profile

• Experience working with operational risk reviews, control frameworks, or related governance functions.
• Ability to engage with global COO and Corporate Function teams and diverse business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset for incident analysis and trend identification.
