Emergency Medicine Registrar (12-month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified doctor to join the Emergency Department at Beaumont Hospital as a Registrar for a 12‑month fixed‑term appointment starting July 2026. The role involves delivering acute care to an adult‑only emergency department serving approximately 60,000 patients annually.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely assessment, diagnosis and management of emergency presentations.
• Collaborate with the consultant team and multidisciplinary staff to ensure high‑quality patient care.
• Participate in teaching and training activities within the academic teaching hospital.
• Contribute to departmental audits, research and quality improvement projects.

Required profile

• Valid registration with the Irish Medical Council.
• Successful completion of the MRCEM Primary examination.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• English language proficiency – IELTS overall band ≥7.0 or OET grade ≥B, or a medical degree obtained in English from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United States or the United Kingdom.
