High-Level Adviser on Energy (Team Leader)

About the role

NTU International A/S is seeking a High-Level Adviser on Energy to lead the core team of an EU‑funded project aimed at strengthening strategic, institutional, and operational capacity for effective energy policy in North Macedonia. The assignment supports sustainable economic development and runs for 42 months starting 1 December 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the project team and coordinate all technical assistance activities.
• Provide high‑level policy advice to senior government officials, including ministers.
• Manage the implementation of a EU‑funded technical assistance project with a budget of at least EUR 1 million.
• Ensure compliance with EU Energy Community Treaty requirements and liaise with EU Member State bodies.
• Oversee the production of policy reports, strategic recommendations, and capacity‑building workshops.

Required profile

• Minimum Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (or Bachelor plus four years of experience).
• 10–12 years of professional experience in the energy sector.
• Proven experience as a Team Leader on at least one EU‑funded technical assistance project valued at EUR 1 million or more.
• Demonstrated ability to advise senior government officials on energy matters.
• Fluent spoken and written English (C1 level).
