Manufacturing Technician

About the role

Catalyx is looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join its on‑site team at a customer’s pharmaceutical tablet production facility in Cork. You will work shift‑based, applying manufacturing methods and procedures in a highly regulated cGMP environment.

Key responsibilities

• Follow established SOPs, Master Batch Records and cGMP guidelines for routine assignments.
• Perform moderately complex tasks in aseptic processing, dispensing, compaction, granulation, milling and coating.
• Report performance issues to the Operations Lead and troubleshoot more complex problems independently.
• Clean and assemble equipment, including manual cleaning and clean‑in‑place (CIP) procedures.
• Execute detailed SAP and MES transactions to resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain documentation such as log books, batch records and manufacturing batch report updates.
• Operate drum coaters, compression equipment or roller compactors and dispense ingredients for batches.
• Handle product manually, loading and unloading tablets, and meet agreed KPIs.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
• Relevant Level 6 qualification or technical/engineering background is advantageous.
• Excellent written and spoken communication with strong interpersonal skills.
• High safety orientation and strict adherence to safety standards.
• Detail‑oriented with a proactive, can‑do attitude toward customer delivery.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP and MES systems.
• Knowledge of cGMP, SOPs and Master Batch Records.
• Experience with aseptic processing, drum coaters, compression equipment and roller compactors.
• Competence in MS Office applications.
