O&M Technician – Solar Power Plant

About the role

Renvolt is expanding its Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team in Ireland to support the long‑term performance of the 139 MW Ballymoneen Solar Power Plant. The O&M Technician will be based near Galway and will provide rapid on‑site and remote support to keep the plant operating at peak efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Fast on‑site and remote troubleshooting, recommending and implementing fault recovery solutions to restore production.
• Perform specialized technical maintenance activities on the solar plant.
• Participate in integrated commissioning and start‑up activities.
• Conduct on‑site technical assessments and produce technical reports for claim processes.
• Deliver training and technical workshops to build maintenance competence.
• Help develop and improve maintenance management processes, systems and documentation.
• Study and recommend more efficient maintenance practices, tools and standards.
• Contribute to reliability studies, failure analysis, and audit of implemented procedures.

Required profile

• Electrical qualification.
• Experience in commissioning and maintenance of photovoltaic (PV) power plants (preferred).
• Experience with electronics and automation fault detection techniques and troubleshooting.
