Sustaining Engineer – Switchgear Product Lifecycle

About the role

The Sustaining Engineer will provide ongoing technical support, maintenance and improvements for Vertiv’s switchgear products after release. Acting as the bridge between design engineering and manufacturing, you will solve production issues, implement bug fixes and enhance reliability to extend product life cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain switchgear design within Oracle Product Lifecycle Management.
• Improve design for manufacturability focusing on safety, quality and efficiency.
• Provide design support for issues identified during production.
• Assist with supply‑chain related design challenges.
• Support New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) activities.
• Ensure engineered‑to‑order designs meet quality standards before release to production.

Required profile

• 1‑3+ years experience in product design.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical Engineering preferred).
• 1‑3+ years experience with 3D modelling or 2D drafting.
• Ability to create and troubleshoot control wiring diagrams.
• Experience applying Design for Manufacturability principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
